Comprehensive Automotive Mobility Solutions Course for Health Professionals (CAMS-HP)

This continuing education course contains a range of topics pertaining to personal automotive mobility solutions. It will assist the allied health care practitioner in understanding and advocating for individuals seeking automotive vehicle modification solutions, while also teaching practitioners about the unique process involved in evaluating, selecting and purchasing appropriate automotive options.
This course qualifies the attendee for .7 AOTA CEU, 7 CCMC CEH, 7 ADED CEH, 7 AKTA CEH and .6 RESNA CEU (by request only).

Since graduating from the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University in 1994, Dana Benoit has worked as a clinician at the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre. A specialist in the field of driving evaluation since 1999, she received her Certification as a recognized Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) in 2000. Ms. Benoit completed her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science at McGill University in 2007.
Through her participation in numerous clinical research projects and her involvement in the development of McGill University’s Graduate Certificate Program in Driver Rehabilitation, Ms. Benoit has acquired a sound theoretical knowledge base which has complemented her clinical practice. Her years of experience working with clients presenting severe physical impairment, her involvement as a member, a committee-chair and as President of ADED (the international Association of Driver Rehabilitation Specialists), her engagement as a Board Member for NMEDA Canada and her years teaching and guiding clinicians toward becoming specialists in the field of Driver Rehabilitation have cumulated to render Ms. Benoit a recognized leader in this specialized area of practice.
For the past 15 years, Ms. Benoit has shared her expertise with many occupational therapists across Canada and the United States, has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and has presented at many national and international conferences.

The Provider (NMEDA) reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances at any time. However, NMEDA will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline and hotel reservations that a participant incurred due to cancellation of the course. NMEDA reserves the right to change a course date, location, or instructor.
With this in mind, we recommend that you include a cancellation clause when booking your flight or hotel reservations, or refrain from making the reservations until one week prior to the scheduled training.
