Comprehensive Automotive Mobility Solutions Course for Health Professionals (CAMS-HP)

This continuing education course contains a range of topics pertaining to personal automotive mobility solutions. It will assist the allied health care practitioner in understanding and advocating for individuals seeking automotive vehicle modification solutions, while also teaching practitioners about the unique process involved in evaluating, selecting and purchasing appropriate automotive options.

This course qualifies the attendee for .7 AOTA CEU, 7 CCMC CEH, 7 ADED CEH, 7 AKTA CEH and .6 RESNA CEU (by request only).

Instructor:

Nikki Simmons, OTR/L, CDRS
Nikki Simmons is an Occupational Therapist with 20 years of experience working with patients in inpatient & outpatient settings in TN, MS and FL. She has been a driver rehabilitation specialist since 2013 when she started her own company, Driving Independence. She currently sees clients in AR, TN and MS for driving evaluations and driver training. Nikki is currently in private practice at Driving Independence. She lectures at Concorde Career College for the OTA program biannually. She gives frequent in-service trainings to rehabilitation departments at local hospitals. She has also spoken on the impact of driving after a disability at the Methodist Hospital stroke support group and TN Brain Injury Symposium. Nikki is an active member of ADED and a NMEDA-certified CAMS-HP Regional trainer.

Cancellation Policy:

Activity Cancellation by the Provider
The Provider (NMEDA) reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances at any time. However, NMEDA will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline and hotel reservations that a participant incurred due to cancellation of the course. NMEDA reserves the right to change a course date, location, or instructor.

With this in mind, we recommend that you include a cancellation clause when booking your flight or hotel reservations, or refrain from making the reservations until one week prior to the scheduled training.

No refunds or transfers will be issued for course cancellations made by the attendee unless sufficient written notice is given.
