This continuing education course contains a range of topics pertaining to personal automotive mobility solutions. It will assist the allied health care practitioner in understanding and advocating for individuals seeking automotive vehicle modification solutions, while also teaching practitioners about the unique process involved in evaluating, selecting and purchasing appropriate automotive options.

This course qualifies the attendee for .7 AOTA CEU, 7 CCMC CEH, 7 ADED CEH, 7 AKTA CEH and .6 RESNA CEU (by request only).

Dean Robertson

Dean Robertson has been involved in the field of Driver Rehabilitation for 22 years. He obtained his Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) designation in 1998 and has retained certification since that time. Dean holds a Health Education Degree, Business Administration Diploma and is a licensed GLP Driving Instructor. He is an active member of the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) and previously served as board member. Dean is an associate member and CAMS-HP instructor of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA). He has worked in both private and public rehab centers in both Canada and the US. Most recently, he was the coordinator of the Driver Rehab Program at the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre for eight years in Vancouver. He has completed certification training for both the EMC Aevit 2.0 and Joysteer electronic driving systems. In 2014, Dean returned to full-time private practice with his company Access Driver Rehab Specialists and currently offers functional driving evaluations, vehicle modification assessments, along with both sedan (low-tech) and conversion van (high-tech) training services.

Cancellation Policy:

Activity Cancellation by the Provider
The Provider (NMEDA) reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances at any time. Any tuition fees will be refunded in full. However, NMEDA will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline and hotel reservations that a participant incurred due to cancellation of the course. NMEDA reserves the right to change a course date, location, or instructor.

With this in mind, we recommend that you include a cancellation clause when booking your flight or hotel reservations, or refrain from making the reservations until one week prior to the scheduled training.

No refunds or transfers will be issued for course cancellations made by the attendee unless sufficient written notice is given.
